What’s the point, really? Greeley Estates could be any of the young bands out there today claiming to mix emotional post-hardcore with hooky and melodic sing/screams. It’s almost insulting how unoriginal this record is. From the completely derivative guitar riffs to the unnecessary, ear-splitting screams, Far from the Lies is hard to get through. Yet another whiny emo band with lots of MySpace friends — this trend is getting exhausting.
