While one of the wildest rumours circulating this week is that Axl Rose may be in talks to sing with AC/DC this year, there's a bit more certainty surrounding his own Guns N' Roses reunion. Following word that the band would be touring in 2016, they've announced a chunk of cities they'll be hitting in the coming months.
Earlier this year, it had been revealed that Guns N' Roses would be playing a pair of dates in Las Vegas this April, as well as two sets as part of this year's Coachella festival in Indio, CA. Today (March 25), the band unveiled grander plans to take the show across North America.
A quick video post revealed that Guns N' Roses also have a 21-city trip coming up, with a Canadian stop scheduled in Toronto. Neither the concert dates nor the venue specifics have been revealed just yet, with the video craftily using the band's old "Patience" ballad to hint that the details will be doled out soon enough.
The full lineup for the Guns N' Roses reunion has yet to be revealed. So far, it's been confirmed that the dates will feature vocalist Axl Rose, guitarist Slash, and bassist Duff McKagan. Guitarist Izzy Stradlin will not be making his way onstage with the rest of the gang, but it's as yet unclear whether or not Appetite for Destruction-period skinsman Steven Adler will be sitting behind the drum kit.
As for Rose's connection to AC/DC, an Atlanta DJ reported earlier this week that a "very good source" had suggested that the singer would be replacing Brian Johnson for a series of 10 shows this year. Johnson is apparently being replaced due to hearing loss.
