The details of HAIM's debut album are still under wraps, but the California sister trio seem to be building up to something big, since they have shared a new single and rolled out a slew of tour dates.
The band will spend the summer playing festivals and touring throughout Europe. In the fall, they will return to North America for some headlining dates, and this trek includes a Canadian stop in Vancouver on October 24. After that, they will return to Europe in November for a jaunt as Phoenix's opening act.
See the schedule below and scroll past that to hearing the newly unveiled studio version of "The Wire" (a song that has been around for a few years in live form). It sports a slinky guitar groove, clap-along rhythms, sweetly harmonized vocals and colourfully quirky production values. It's brash and catchy as hell while still maintaining some subtlety in its pop melodies.
HAIM's debut album is expected out in September. It was reportedly produced by Paul Epworth (Adele, Florence and the Machine) and Simian Mobile Disco's James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Florence and the Machine).
