Harlots

If nothing else, Harlots’ debut on Lifeforce has a shocking ability to unsettle its listener’s insides. Betrayer is on the whole unrelenting. From "The Weight Unweightable” through to the album's final note on "Suicide Medley,” the Ohio home-grown quartet not only completely demonstrate what it means to be "in your face” but also possess a solid understanding of both the metal and hardcore sounds. Vocalist Christian Fillippo rips hard, guitarist Eric Dunn manages to hold down his critical role in the band quite well, bassist Joshua Dillon backs the band’s "rough ’em up” style with ease and drummer Jeff Lohrber proves to be the backbone to Harlots’ overall earthquake sound.
