Toronto-based producer Harrison has dropped a new track titled "Back Home," effectively taking us on an 8-bit sonic quest in the process.
The song comes off as though it very well could be a theme track to an RPG game. Soft piano keys and birds chirping begin your journey. Along the way, vocal samples are added as stages in your adventure — the first being a coughing sample reminding you "do not eat the red forest mushrooms" while the other vocal samples are new members added to your party.
The melody strolls on with sampled flute and chiptune synths as you feel as though you're almost at your destination. The anxious yet peaceful mood builds and declines throughout.
You find a path out of the forest, the screen fades black, and you find yourself "Back Home."
