Harvey Milk Announce North American Tour, Self-Titled Album Release

BY Greg PrattPublished Jan 20, 2010

The enigmatic weirdo noise/classic/antagonistic rockers in Harvey Milk have just announced a new record, as well as a North American tour. Well, kind of a new record. It's actually an old album that's only finally seeing an official release date now, something that should please those who have pulled their hair out trying to put together the pieces of this band's confusing discography.

The ten-track, self-titled LP, to be released on January 26 on Hydra Head Records, is an official release of an older, unreleased album, long known by fans as the Bob Weston Sessions. The recording was to be the band's debut but was never released, until now.

To spread the good word, Harvey Milk are playing some Canadian and U.S. shows with the mighty Coalesce, who recently placed second in our Aggressive Tendencies year-end top ten. Harvey Milk's last album was 2008's Life... the Best Game in Town. No word yet from the band on if record sales and show attendance has soared due to name-brand recognition.
