Amaal and Syd have come together on a new collaborative single. "Lullaby," now appearing on an extended version of the Toronto artist's 2021 EP Milly, can be heard in the player below.
Produced by Nicky Davey, "Lullaby" finds the rising Toronto artist and the Internet vocalist trading smooth, swaying verses before taking the listener higher in the outro alongside a searing guitar lead.
"This song depicts a very innocent, pure type of love. We're not hiding any emotions or letting insecurities get in the way. Syd and I are singing from our own perspectives about the feelings that are raw and real to both of us," Amaal shares of the single. "Syd has such genuine energy and wants to see women win. Working with her on 'Lullaby' was an absolute pleasure."
"Lullaby" can also be found on this week's edition of The Eh! List, Exclaim!'s round-up of the week's best new Canadian music.
Next month, Amaal will take the stage at Vancouver's Safe & Sound Music Fest on May 29, ahead of supporting Charlotte Cardin at a pair of sold-out Montreal shows. You can find her tour itinerary below, and further Safe & Sound Music Fest details here.
Earlier this month, Syd released second solo full-length Broken Hearts Club.
