Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: July Talk, Gayance, Mac DeMarco

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Jan 20, 2023

You wouldn't remember five easy hot dogs never before — so July Talk and Mac DeMarco are here to do it for you with their respective new albums, Remember Never Before and Five Easy Hot Dogs. But that's not all you'll remember of the week's best new Canadian music, which includes a laidback groove from Gayance and Eva Shaw's take on Justin Bieber.

Elsewhere in album releases, we have Montreal's Atsuko Chiba (Water, It Feels Like It's Growing). It was a huge week for announcements, with City and Colour, Louise Burns, the Dears' Murray A. Lightburn and Braids all sharing the news of brand-new LPs set to drop in the coming months.

There's also a light-as-air bop from Dizzy, the return of Fast Romantics and more to discover, perfectly legally.

Get dialled into The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
