Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: Lights, Ouri, DEBBY FRIDAY, Softcult

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Mar 24, 2023

There is a light in spring — and there is also new music. Sure, there's nothing remarkable about this weekly occurrence, but there's something about shifting into more temperate weather (or so we can hope) that makes everything sound fresher.

Lights gives us our first taste of "dark mode" PEP rework dEd, and Ouri also returns twofold with stunning new single "Twin."

It's a huge week for releases in general, including full-lengths. There are big new albums from DEBBY FRIDAY (GOOD LUCK), no cosmos and N NAO, as well as EPs from Softcult (see you in the dark) and Benja.

Elsewhere, hear just-released singles from Russell Louder, Terry Urayak, Silverstein, Tough Age, Amos the Kid, Sister Ray and more.

Tickle your earbuds as nature begins to bloom again with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
