Theres not much originality that goes into Hey Rosetta!s emotional rock songs. What makes you forget this unfortunate reality is their blistering live incarnation. Comparable to Mute Math or the Counting Crows on record, they really step it up a notch when put on a stage. With help from the eloquent cellist and violinist, Tim Baker built epic cascades of noise while frantically singing so passionately you could clearly see an outline for each one of the veins in his neck as he jumped between playing the keyboard and guitar. The rest of the band made everything sound bigger, and thus more explosive.
