New York electro unit Holy Ghost! have been signed to venerable dance imprint DFA Records for years, but as of yet, they have focussed on singles, remixes and EPs rather than a full-length. That will all change this spring, though, when they issue their self-titled debut album.
According to a press release, the album features "the vintage synth sounds that DFA has become synonymous with, rounded out with an undeniable pop edge." It reportedly will feature guest spots from the Juan MacLean, Jerry Fuchs (who passed away in 2009), the Rapture's Luke Jenner, Penguin Prison's Chris Glover, and perhaps most excitingly lite rock megastar Michael McDonald.
Holy Ghost! will release the self-titled album on April 5 via DFA. "Do It Again," the album's lead single, can be streamed below. The track is also available for download in exchange for your email address here.
