Last we heard from Hot Chip, the indie electronic outfit were covering Bruce Springsteen and remixing Katy Perry, but they're finally ready to return with new material of their own. Their seventh studio effort is called A Bath Full of Ecstasy, and the band have shared their new album track "Hungry Child," as well as announced a sprawling tour.
A Bath Full of Ecstasy will be out June 21 via Domino Records. The album was recorded in Paris and London, and hears the band bringing in outside producers for the first time in their career. Cassius hero Philippe Zdar and Rodaidh McDonald were among those let in on the creative process this time around.
The first song to be unveiled from the forthcoming album is "Hungry Child," and you can stream it with the accompanying video down below. The hilariously bizarre clip stars Martin Starr and Milana Vayntrub.
Hot Chip have also mapped out North American and European tour dates that will run through the end of the year. Canadian dates include Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, and you can see the upcoming shows listed below. Tickets go on sale April 12 at 10 a.m. local time.
