Louisville, KY roots rock outfit Houndmouth re likely in good spirits, as their hometown mayor has decreed April 26 "Houndmouth day," and they've also just premiered a multimedia video for their new single "On the Road."
The jaunty, Southern-styled pop song scores a melange of live action and claymation clips that bring together a dude struggling through the woods and a grocery store employee that quits her job after cracking a few too many eggs. We also see the band kicking into the ultra-poppy choruses as stop-motion paper cut-outs.
You can see the crafty clip down below.
"On the Road" appears on Houndmouth's debut LP From the Hills Below the City, which drops June 4 through Rough Trade. The band also play Toronto's Echo Beach on June 20 with Alabama Shakes as part of a previously announced North American tour. Houndmouth will also return to Toronto for a show on June 28 and play Montreal on June 27.
