December 23 is a very special day for Seinfeld fans: it's Festivus! It recognition of this most unholy of holidays, neo-soul singer How to Dress Well has teamed up with parodic Twitter account @Seinfeld2000 to release a song called "The Speed Dial."
The song plays off the 1997 Seinfeld episode "The Millennium" and its storyline about Jerry working his way up to the top spot on a girlfriend's speed dial. The hip-hop-tinged R&B song features How to Dress Well's Tom Krell cooing sweetly, "People get jealous for the strangest reasons / And Jerry Seinfeld was no exception."
The accompanying video mixes footage from said episode of Seinfeld with a variety of vintage dance clips, images that relate to the lyrics, and some seemingly random archival footage.
@Seinfeld2000 wrote for Noisey, "Anyway I dont think im telling tales out of school when i say to you that THE SPEED DIAL is basicaly HOTLINE BLING PT 2. Pls watch our video now lmao." Check it out below.
