The Hundred in the Hands to Release Full-length Warp Debut This Fall

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jul 5, 2010

It's been a breakthrough year for Brooklyn, NY-based electro duo the Hundred in the Hands. Back in the spring, we learned that the pair would be releasing two EPs through Warp Records. Now, they're getting ready to roll out their debut full-length, due September 21.

According to a press release, the self-titled collection "is an album of deceptively complex pop songs, which harken back to the dance music of NYC's storied underground." The LP was recorded at home and features contributions from producers Jacques Renault, Richard X, Eric Broucek and Chris Zane.

For the release, the Hundreds in the Hands will once again be teaming up with Warp, who will release the album in the usual CD/LP/digital formats. You can order the album on CD/LP now from Bleep and also receive a digital download, to be delivered on the release date.

There's no tracklist currently available, but you can listen to dance floor-ready single "Pigeons," embedded at the bottom of this page.

The band will spend the summer living in London, which they will use a home base for their numerous UK tour dates. To celebrate the occasion, they created a YouTube channel with 101 of their favourite British songs.
