After charging us up with Electricity earlier this year, Ibibio Sound Machine have announced plans to takethe effort on a tour of North America.
Following July and August dates in the UK, including a pair of hometown shows at Wembley Stadium with Coldplay, the eight-piece outfit will begin their North American tour on Canada's West Coast.
Ahead of an appearance at Victoria's Rifflandia festival on September 17, Ibibio Sound Machine will take over Vancouver's Fortune Sound Club on September 16 with support from Terror Jr. Further ticketing details for the group's North American run can be found via their official website.
Alongside the tour news, Ibibio Sound Machine have shared a remix of Electricity's "All That You Want" by Joe Goddard of Hot Chip, who also produced the group's fourth studio LP
"Producing the Ibibio Sound Machine album was a really special thing to be involved in," Goddard shared in a statement. "They are really talented and lovely people, and I can't wait to see them play these songs live this summer. The 'All That You Want' remix is designed to be a Shep Pettibone–style extended version which aims to showcase their great songwriting."
