Copenhagen post-punks Iceage possess the sort of explosive energy that occasionally has us wondering when they'll fall apart. Instead, they keep pressing forward, and have now announced a new 7-inch with two new covers, both of which you can stream here.
First up is a cover of Sinead O'Connor's "Jackie," which sounds very Iceage despite the fact that they keep it plodding along with a slow rhythm and plenty of atmospheric guitar. On the flip, they take on the Bahumutsi Drama Group's "To the Comrades." Opening with a piano, the song kicks into sped-up post-punk mode quick enough.
Check out both covers below. Matador will release them on a 7-inch on November 19.
