Aussie-born, blog-buzzed rapper Iggy Azalea is coming off a long stretch of hype, from the much-loved "Pu$$y" video to the late 2011 mixtape Ignorant Art, and now it looks as if the spitter is ready to hit the big time: she's just signed to Interscope Records.
After apparently being courted by a handful of labels (with Def Jam in the running), Azalea quashed any imprint-related rumours today (January 27) with a tweet confirmation about her place within Jimmy Iovine's enterprise.
"Interscope, if you were wondering," she wrote of the business deal. "Get used to me + jimmy smashing shit, cause thats the plan. ^.^"
Definitive plans have yet to be sorted out for the rapper's major label debut, but she has gone on record saying the disc will be titled The New Classic, and it will arrive sometime before the summer.
"Album in june entitled 'fuck your life' nah.... not realllyyyy its called 'The New Classic,'" she quipped.
More news to come, no doubt.
