Ahead of getting back on the road with Iron Maiden behind recent album Senjutsu, frontman Bruce Dickinson has announced a spoken word tour of North America, complete with stops in Canada.
Shows on the An Evening with Bruce Dickinson tour will be split into two parts. The first will see the frontman take "a humorous and often satirical look at the world from his own very personal perspective, treating the audience to private insights into his drive and ambition."
Those in attendance can expect "plenty of Maiden anecdotes, and a myriad of other experiences encompassing not just the giddy heights but also the extreme lows, told first-hand in his inimitable anarchic style, punctuated with photographs and sometimes even erupting into song acapella, to illustrate a point." The second part of the evening will be a Q&A session, during which audience members can ask Dickinson about "any subject whatsoever."
Dickinson's 10 Canadian dates all come towards the end of his tour itinerary, with stops set for British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec and Ontario. While none of them come in St. Catharines, here's hoping he pays a visit to principal and passionate Maiden fan Sharon Burns.
Tickets for all dates go on sale Friday, November 5 at 10 a.m. local time, with further details available here.
Yesterday, Dickinson launched his own podcast. Before delivering Senjutsu, Iron Maiden had the album locked in a vault for "nearly two years."
