Iron & Wine Signs to Warner for New Album

BY Josiah HughesPublished Oct 12, 2010

As previously reported, singer-songwriter Sam Beam has emerged from a long hibernation to reveal his first Iron & Wine studio album since 2007's The Shepherd's Dog. The album is called Kiss Each Other Clean and will be released in early 2011. While we don't have a proper release date just yet, we can report that it won't be coming out on his longtime home of Sub Pop Records.

For the new album, Iron & Wine has signed to Warner Bros. Records in North America and 4AD internationally. Before anyone cries "sell out" too loudly, keep in mind that Beam is the married father of five kids and organic granola breakfast cereal isn't free.

Before the album's release, Beam will bring Iron & Wine on a run of shows across the U.S. There are no Canadian dates as of yet, but the band will likely enter the Great White North next year. All available dates are below.
