Iron & Wine to Perform Live Webcast of New LP Tonight

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 5, 2011

Over the past few months, we have fervently posted a number of things to do with folkster Iron & Wine's upcoming Kiss Each Other Clean. From its tracklisting and release date to its cover art to the fact that the new album "sounds like the music people heard in their parents' car growing up," we have been following the actions of songwriter Sam Beam like a bunch of hungry hawks.

While the album's January 25 release date is ever so near, it looks as if Beam has one last trick up his sleeve before the record hits shelves. A just-announced gig at a NYC radio station will broadcast Beam playing Kiss Each Other Clean in its entirety tonight (January 5).

Pitchfork reports that Iron & Wine will take to radio station WNYC's performance venue the Greene Space to perform the new album front to back. Both WNYC and NPR will stream the show live via webcast. The performance stars at 8 p.m. EST.

If you're a fan of the bearded folkster, you just might want to cancel your plans tonight. If you needed any further convincing, check out first single "Walking Far From Home" below.
