Following a cryptic teaser shared late last month, it has been revealed that Top Dawg Entertainment's first release of 2021 will not come from Kendrick Lamar or SZA, but Isaiah Rashad.
At tonight at midnight ET, Rashad will share new single "Lay Wit Ya," which will mark his first new track since last year's "Why Worry" and the first off his upcoming album The House Is Burning, which is expected out sometime in June.
While the Duke Deuce-assisted song has already seen release in markets outside North America, you can hear a snippet in the player below ahead of tonight's arrival.
UPDATE (5/7, 12 a.m.): You can now hear "Lay Wit Ya" below, where you can also find a music video for the track. A FADER profile reveals that the single will appear on a new album titled The House Is Burning, expected to arrive in June.
A new message from TDE also points to a live premiere of an accompanying music video, taking place today at 415 N. Fairfax Ave. in Los Angeles at 4 p.m. local time. Rashad had previously shared behind-the-scenes shot from the video shoot on social media earlier this year.
Rashad's most recent album remains 2016's The Sun's Tirade, which followed his acclaimed 2014 TDE debut Cilvia Demo.
