Ahead of releasing new album achakosuk later this year, iskwē has shared another new single from the effort.

Titled "Breaking Down," the song follows the previously shared "Little Star" and arrives alongside a video directed by Jessica Lea Fleming. You can find that clip below.

"This video is about me finding my way back to my clan, the butterfly clan, which represents my family in the spirit world. I wanted to show the emergence of self, by shedding layers of the past while discovering strength in being true to who I am," iskwē explained.

She continued: "Our vision was to be as inclusive as possible, with each of the dancers representing different communities — Indigenous, people of colour, LGBTQ, as a way to honour our various stages of emergence and growth in finding comfort in who we are."

Her album achakosuk is set to arrive November 8. It follows iskwē's 2017 sophomore album The Fight Within, which was longlisted for the Polaris Music Prize and nominated for Indigenous Album of the Year at the 2018 Juno Awards.
