With their new album A Sleep & A Forgetting set to drop next month, Nick Diamond's tropical pop endeavour Islands are getting closer to being a real band again. The only thing that was missing was a proper tour schedule, but they've remedied that by announcing a Canadian outing.
Before you get your toque in a knot, we're the first to admit that this is hardly a White Stripes-sized Canadian tour. Still, with stops in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and BC, it's a decent start and one that many fans will surely be pleased about.
Check out the full itinerary below, along with the music video for the band's recent track "This Is Not a Song." A Sleep & A Forgetting will drop on February 14 via Anti-, which is Valentine's Day, so buy it for your significant other.
Tour dates:
2/27 Montreal, QC - Cabaret du Mile End
2/28 Toronto, ON - The Music Gallery
3/3 Winnipeg, MB - West End Cultural Centre
3/5 Edmonton, AB - The Haven Social Club
3/6 Calgary, AB - Ironwood Stage and Grill
3/8 Vancouver, BC - The Rio Theatre
