Isle of Wight alt-rock quartet Coach Party have shared details of their self-produced debut album KILLJOY, out September 8 via Chess Club Records.

Following the release of lead single "Micro Aggression," the band are further previewing the effort with new track "All I Wanna Do Is Hate," which is about "acting out against people who are trying to help, but you're not ready for that and choose to do the opposite of the advice you're given," according to the band's Jess Eastwood.

"This song is just about being incredibly angry, for what, is up to whoever is listening; but sometimes you need to go against everyone to learn a valuable lesson. Maybe you'll write a cool angry song about it," Eastwood added.

Inspired by the likes of Nirvana, Sonic Youth, the Strokes, Wolf Alice, the Big Moon and Tame Impala, the band's new record is said to find them "colliding riotous punk elements with fuck-the-world irreverence and flairs of sparkling electro-pop."

In the midst of releasing 2022's Nothing Is Real EP, the band came up alongside fellow Isle of Wight locals, Wet Leg, who brought them along for their UK and European tour. Coach Party will continue on the road throughout 2023, supporting Queens of the Stone Age on select dates. They've yet to include any Canadian stops, but you can check out their full itinerary here.
