Earlier this year, J. Cole told Exclaim! that he was already deep into the follow-up to his 2011 effort Cole World: The Sideline Story. Now, he's confirmed details for the new record.
The album is called Born Sinner, and will be released on January 28 assuming there are no delays. After all, rap albums are never, ever delayed.
In a recent interview with The Daily Tar Heel, Cole offered the following update on the album:
The album's going to be coming out early next year. You should really expect it to be on the next level. I've been in a great place this year creatively, so things have been going good. I still go through some stress but it's more of a good, natural stress rather than worrying about how many records are going to sell.
The news was confirmed via a trailer for the album, which can be streamed below. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
