The Stones Throw record label gives off the impression that it has an endless treasure trove of busted-up hip-hop goodies. Take, for example, the likes of J. Dilla, who, despite having passed away over four years ago, continues to provide source material for alternate versions of tracks, remixes and the odd unheard gem. The latest Dilla offering is a remix of his track "The $" by labelmate and collaborator Madlib.
The Madlib remix originally appeared on Stones Throw's 2008 Hella International box set. This week, the triple-vinyl release officially sold out, so Stones Throw offered up the track as a digital freebie.
