Already able to call himself a singer, guitarist, label boss and upholsterer, Jack White will now be able to call himself a doctor.
As WXYZ Detroit reports, White is the recipient of an honorary doctorate degree from Wayne State University, located in his hometown of Detroit.
White received his degree during the university's commencement ceremony this morning. The school says the degree was given to White for his dedication to Detroit and his contributions to the arts.
As some snaps from the ceremony show, White's mother was able to attend the event. You can see him don the cap and gown below.
White is set to shift his focus to the Raconteurs these next few months. The band will kick off a lengthy tour later this month behind new album Help Us Stranger, which arrives on June 21 via Third Man Records.
