Jackie Mohr, formerly of the Mohrs, has returned with a new project, this time simply titled Jackie, and the Toronto-based three-piece (also comprised of Marc Girardin and Max Trefler) have just unveiled their debut single "New at Drugs."
As the title implies, it's a track that recounts dabbling in unchartered psychedelic territory — specifically for Mohr's mother, who recently experimented with new substances, but still worries about the stigma of drug use.
"'New At Drugs' is a sing-a-long song on a mission to break down the stigma
around drugs, and make you dance all the while," Mohr tells Exclaim!
Guitar and synth riffs blend together to create the edgy, pop-leaning anthem, all under the guidance of producer Hawksley Workman.
The single will be officially available on February 1, but you can check out the lyric video for "New at Drugs" right now in the player below.
