Jacques Greene Reveals Debut LP 'Feel Infinite'

Having made a name for himself through standalone singles, edits and remixes, Montreal producer Jacques Greene has lifted the curtain on details behind a long-awaited debut full-length. Titled Feel Infinite, the record will arrive through Arts & Crafts/LuckyMe this coming March.

A press release reveals that Feel Infinite was written over the course of two years, with its 11 tracks set to be "the purest, most personal expression of the Jacques Greene sound." The previously released single "Afterglow" appears on the record, while the announcement is accompanied by the punchy bass and looping vocal chops of "Real Time," which you can hear at the bottom of the page.

"The essence of the record is to draw emotions and moments that above all, feel human within the context of dance music," he said in a statement. "I want it to be celebratory of all that we feel and do and experience — the beautiful, the good, and the bad."

A look at the record's tracklist reveals that features are few and far between, with How to Dress Well returning to collaborate with the producer on a track titled "True." Other artistic collaborations for the record include work with visual artist and designer Hassan Rahim, director Melissa Matos (Trusst), and photographer Mathieu Fortin.

"I kept the collaborations really limited and to people I have real relationships with — an appreciation and respect for the world around me," Greene said. "I never want to forget my place within the world — my city, my identity. The record is a very deliberate exercise in kind of consolidating the Jacques Greene world while also throwing nods at influences and the context of my music."

He continued: "I really try to make music that connects people and speaks to the things that bring us together — true club culture was born out of oppression and worked hard to create spaces for its marginalized members. The record is more aspirational than escapist — 'feeling infinite' is not about forgetting your identity or escaping those things, but rather finding a deeper meaning and truth in them by their unbreakable link to everything else in the world."

Feel Infinite will arrive digitally on March 10 and on vinyl March 24. Greene has also mapped out some North American tour dates alongside Baton Rouge producer Suicideyear, which you can find below after reading through the tracklist.
