Eccentric soul-pop artist Janelle Monáe recently unveiled plans to release a multi-artist compilation titled The Eephus, showcasing the work of her Wondaland Records label.
And while official details of the release are still under wraps, Monáe previously shared the video for her Jidenna-featuring single "Yoga." That same track got the live treatment last night (May 18), when the duo served as the musical guests on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Introduced by Monáe as "the summer of the summer," she delivered an ambitious, high-energy performance that lived up to the claim. It included an acrobatic army of black-and-white-striped-yoga-pants-wearing dancers and Jidenna and Monáe venturing in to the audience, while the Roots provided some back-up instrumentation.
