Following his previous work with lush indie groups International Falls and The Poison Dart, Vancouver-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jay Arner is currently performing as the production side of dance-pop duo Fine Mist. Either way, everything he touches seems to be both irresistible on the ears and criminally underrated.
The latest gem he's unleashed is an endlessly charming remix of R. Kelly's sex-anthem "Get Freaky In The Club." Replacing the songs beat with an uptempo slab of acoustic indie pop and horns courtesy of Fine Mist's other half, Megan McDonald, the song adds a dose of earnestness to Kelly's explicit sexing.
