It's a great time to be a fan of Jay Som (a.k.a. Melina Duterte). The multi-talented indie pop musician recently shared her Everybody Works outtakes "Pirouette" and "O.K., Meet Me Underwater." Now she's followed those up with a new Valentine's Day tune.
Called "Hot Bread," the song is yet another beautifully arranged earworm. It starts off like a standard acoustic track but eventually reveals layers of trumpets, lead guitars and group vocals.
Despite it being a one-off for an Amazon Music compilation called Love Me Not, the song would have been right at home on Everybody Works.
