Jay Z Reportedly Working on 'Lemonade' Response Album

Whether or not their real-life marriage was marred by infidelity, Beyoncé and Jay Z are cashing in on the public's perception of their relationship. The former recently released her stunning visual album Lemonade — an emotional, hour-long cheating accusation — and her husband apparently approved. Now, he's working on a cheating-themed album of his own.

An "insider" told Us Weekly that Jay Z has decided to follow Lemonade with a response release. The source said, "Jay is working on an album telling his side of things."

Of course, regardless of their personal journeys as people, the would-be affair has proven to be a thrilling muse for both artists. Earlier this month, a source told E! Online that Jay Z was thrilled by the potential boost in Tidal subscribers that Lemonade would cause.

"Jay was involved in the creation of Lemonade and knew every song Bey was going to release," the source said. "He knew the lyrics; he knew the implications. He had to approve the songs before release. Jay is a very smart businessman...Bottom line is that they are both really smart and they both saw dollar signs."

Jay Z's own recording career has not been as critically acclaimed as it once was, so a Lemonade response album could be just what it needs. So long as he doesn't follow the literal course of his "Monster" verse and respond to Lemonade with a list of different kinds of juice.
