Canadian singer-songwriter Jeen O'Brien has carved out a spot for herself in this country's music scene — as a member of Cookie Duster, by working with artists like Serena Ryder, Great Big Sea and Hawksley Workman, and finally releasing her debut solo album Tourist last summer. Now, the singer known simply as Jeen will be reissuing that record for worldwide release — and to mark the occasion, Exclaim! has got the premiere of her latest video "NY Island."
The track appears on both versions of the album and is a bouncy, guitar-propelled jam, while the video itself features a young woman on a scenic walk through the woods — until she's scared away by a trio of ominous looking figures. There's also some footage of Jeen delivering the track under some eerie lighting interwoven with the action. It was directed by Adam Seward.
The expanded re-release of Tourist features four additional tracks and officially lands on June 30. For now, though, get your first look at the video for "NY Island" in the player below.
