Arcade Fire drummer Jeremy Gara went solo back in March with the release of his full-length Limn, and has now shared an unreleased cut from the sessions in "Passerine Finale."
Just over three minutes in length, the track draws on ambient music with the use of layered, slow-burning electronics. Speaking with Brooklyn Vegan, Gara said that "this unseen sparrow kept following me around the day I fell into working on this one — it kept singing the same three notes of a chord over everything that was happening so it eventually haunted the song."
Limn is out now through NRCSS Industry. Hear "Passerine Finale" in the player below.
