K Records wunderkind Jeremy Jay has whipped up a fresh batch of romance for 2009, announcing that he has both a full-length and teaser EP all lined up and ready to go.
First off, on March 24, the proper album follow-up to last year's '50s-inspired A Place Where We Could Go will drop courtesy of K and come boasting the title Slow Dance. In a recent blog post, Jay says the record is a "winter themed" album, filled "super-tuff R&B," love loss and, of course, a hefty dose of romance.
As for the new EP, dubbed Love Everlasting, the release is just around the corner and due out on January 20. From the sounds of this one, Jay's definitely taking his songs in a different direction these days, with him trading his old garage-tinged pop sound for some synth-loaded disco funk jams, albeit jams that still sound very much like Jeremy Jay. (To hear what we mean, Love Everlasting is streaming here.) And with Jay saying these two releases are complementary and "kind of the same album but not," we may be in for a lot more of this sexier, more Factory Records-styled Jay with the full-length.
Of course, in typical Jeremy Jay fashion, he also has a ridiculous amount of tour dates lined up for this year. Here are just those scheduled for North America, as well as the releases' tracklistings:
