In the midst of touring this year's Metaphora LP, Jill Barber and her band are now looking to recover gear and instruments that were stolen from them in Chicago.
In a Facebook post yesterday (September 23), Barber revealed that they had woken up in the city to discover that their van window had been smashed only two days into the tour.
"Thankfully we brought all of our guitars, microphones and synths into the hotel with us but lost two pedal boards, our brand new in-ear monitor rig, a keyboard, cymbals and some essential hardware," she wrote.
Barber added that her bandmates had filed a police report concerning the incident, and had reached out to local auto shops and insurance companies to get themselves back on the road.
She also encouraged musicians and listeners in the Chicago area to keep an eye out for the missing gear. You can find her full post below.
Barber and company will perform two more dates in the United States before returning to Canada for a show at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa on September 28. You can find her itinerary here.
