On March 5, Jimi Hendrix's posthumous discography will be expanded with the arrival of People, Hell and Angels, a collection of 12 rare or unheard recordings. Now, we get a taste of the album with "Earth Blues."
Hardly a brain-melter, the track's notable for its mid-tempo groove and Jimi's relatively subdued guitar performance. That's not to say there's anything wrong with the song, as its even-keeled nature works well with the melody and singalong back-up vocals.
