JJ DOOM

"Guv'nor"

There's still a month to go before producer Jneiro Jerel and metal-faced spitter DOOM deliver their JJ DOOM debut, Key to the Kuffs, but the duo have gracefully served up another sample of the platter called "Guv'nor."

While the track plays slightly more chill than the fast-rapping "Banished," Jerel's beatsmithing on the cut is dizzying nonetheless. The disorienting tune mixes in disparate but playful polyrhythmic samples of piano, brass and maybe a pan flute overtop a creeping snap beat.

DOOM, meanwhile, spits all mumbly about attacking the rap game like an Icelandic volcano, and charring bodies like chicken. From there, a mess of cockney accents take over the chorus. You can check out down below.

As previously reported, Key to the Kuffs hits retailers August 21 through Lex Records.
