Joel Plaskett has been busy keeping up with his song-a-week project, which finds him recording and releasing a new cut from his forthcoming Scrappy Happiness every seven days. This week, he not only released a new track, but a music video as well.
"Somewhere Else," which comes courtesy of CBC Radio 3, is a psych-tinged folk rocker that blends mandolin strums with brittle fuzz guitar and hollering, reverb-kissed vocals. As for the accompanying clip, it's a nostalgic collection of vintage scenes reportedly culled from Plaskett's home movies.
This is the sixth of ten planned tracks for Scrappy Happiness, which will officially arrive on March 27 through MapleMusic Recordings.
