John Bonham's Son Organizing Led Zeppelin Tribute Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished Apr 30, 2010

In recent years, rumours have circulated that rock gods Led Zeppelin would be reuniting for a reunion tour, which might or might not include singer Robert Plant. This Plant-less tour never happened, so those still holding a candle for the band will have to satisfy themselves with Jason Bonham's newly announced Led Zeppelin Experience.

Although this tour will feature none of the original members of the band, purists can satisfy themselves with the fact that it is being organized by the son of late drummer John Bonham. According to the fansite LedZeppelinNews.com [via Consequence of Sound], the show will "tell the story of Led Zeppelin from start to finish." This means a multimedia presentation including archival video footage and live musical accompaniment by Bonham and a band of hired hands.

The dates are still forthcoming, but show is rumoured to be touring throughout Canada and the U.S. later this year.

This isn't the first time Jason Bonham has been involved with his father's old band. During the rumoured Plant-less reunion tour, Bonham was slated to fill in for his father on drums. He also played drums for the band's one-off show in 2007.
