With Halloween coming up fast, master of horror John Carpenter is here to provide our soundtrack. Right on schedule, his Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998 has arrived, and you can stream it in full.

As previously reported, the collection collects 13 classic themes from Carpenter's career, with each redone with his son Cody Carpenter and godson Daniel Davies (the same pair who worked with John Carpenter on Lost Themes and Lost Themes II).

This means the album is full of reimagined classic themes from The Thing, Assault on Precinct 13, Halloween, Escape from New York, Dark Star, They Live and Christine, which have all been given a modern, more muscular makeover.

You can hear how it all comes together for yourself below.

Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998 is out now via Sacred Bones. You can also see Carpenter's upcoming tour schedule, which includes a stop in Toronto, over here.
