Thee Oh Sees mapped out a North American tour back in April, but frontman John Dwyer is dropping the "Thee" for his group's latest effort. As simply Oh Sees, Dwyer and company will release Orc on August 25 through Castle Face.

Running 10 tracks in length, Orc marks Dwyer's 19th record with the band and follows last year's A Weird Exits. The album is said to serve up a "fresh batch of bruisers and brooders, hypnotically stirred into to the cauldron of chaos you've come to expect."

A taste of what's the come from the record can be heard with "The Static God" below. The press release continues in mentioning the band are "in tour-greased, anvil on a balance beam, gut-pleasingly heavy form, nimbly braining with equal dashes of abandon and menace."
