Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Josh Ritter has reason to be happy right now, and so do his Canadian fans. The reason Ritter - and his Canuck followers - are feeling so good is because he recently released his sixth album, the excellent So Runs the World Away, and we will be able to hear those songs live as he plays them across Canada during a fall tour.
Ritter, who released So Runs the World Away in May on his own Pytheas Recordings, will be playing eight shows on the tour, all backed with his Royal City Band. The gigs start on October 25 in Ottawa and wrap up November 4 in Vancouver.
Tour dates:
10/25 Ottawa, ON - Capitol Music Hall
10/26 Toronto, ON - Phoenix Concert Hall
10/28 Winnipeg, MB - West End Cultural Centre
10/29 Saskatoon, SK - Broadway Theatre
10/30 Edmonton, AB - Myer Horowitz Theatre
11/1 Calgary, AB - Knox United Church
11/2 Nelson, BC - The Hume Hotel
11/4 Vancouver, BC - Commodore Ballroom
