As previously reported, beloved Canuck indie icon Julie Doiron is delivering a 7-inch as Julie Doiron & the Wrong Guys tomorrow (September 18), but the always endearing and occasionally awkward songstress will also deliver a proper solo set this fall. It's called So Many Days, and the record will hit retailers October 23 through her new label home Aporia Records.
A press release for the album explains that the song cycle was written between Montreal, Sackville and Toronto over the last three years. The record serves as the third part in a trilogy started up with 2007's Woke Myself Up and followed by 2009's I Can Wonder What You Did With Your Day. Once again, friend and former Eric's Trip bandmate Rick White produced the record.
There's still a month to go before the disc drops, but Doiron has offered up soft country strummer "By the Lake" to whet your whistles in the meantime. You can check it out in the stream down below, where you'll also find a few Canadian tour dates. You can also stream the Julie Doiron & the Wrong Guys' 7-inch here.
