A couple of years ago, Canadian indie music lifer Julie Doiron teamed up with Eamon McGrath and Cancer Bats members Mike Peters and Jaye Schwarzer to release a single and hit the road. This year, Julie Doiron & the Wrong Guys will return for a short tour of Canada's East Coast.
The schedule currently consists of a fairly modest four shows, all of them in the Maritimes. There are three gigs in New Brunswick, plus one in Halifax. See the schedule below.
To reacquaint yourself with the Wrong Guys' sound, scroll past the dates to watch an intimate performance video for the single "Heartbeats," filmed by Wood & Wires. According to an announcement, the band "fuse the lyricism and tenderness of Doiron's songs with a maniacal punk energy and voluminous sonic assault."
The 7-inch is still available to purchase here.
Tour dates:
01/16 Fredericton, NB - Capital
01/17 Sackville, NB - Stereophonic Festival
01/18 Moncton, NB - Tide and Boar
01/19 Halifax, NS - The Khyber
