The world has been waiting a new album from French touch heroes Justice for years, and satisfaction is finally drawing near. The duo have been hard at work on the long-awaited follow-up to 2007′s , and they've now opened up about what fans should expect from the new record.
Apparently, the new songs were recorded live off the floor. "We wanted to make it sound looser," the duo's Xavier de Rosnay told NME [via FACT]. "A lot of our favourite records sound that way -- like it's all on the cusp of falling apart."
If Justice are recording the album live, then why is it taking them so long? Well, de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé apparently spent much of the time building their new studio.
"It took us a long time to learn all the equipment," de Rosnay explained. "We spent about six months just getting the place set up. So that held us back. We'd look for equipment online, then send away for it, then we'd have to read the manual, then if we didn't like it we'd send it back."
As for what influences crop up on the upcoming disc, he said, "We were listening to a lot of British rock." He added, "Like Led Zeppelin."
