And he's bringing along a little song and dance

The future has been unlocked: Justin Bieber has entered the metaverse. (If you're not sure what exactly the metaverse is, we think it abides by the same laws as Fight Club.)

The pop star has announced Justin Bieber — An Interactive Virtual Experience, to be hosted by virtual entertainment company Wave this November 18.

An avatar of Bieber will perform a full-length live concert in a collaboration with the high-tech platform that will "give fans a futuristic look into the metaverse, merging gaming, real-time motion-capture and live musical performance into an immersive interactive experience," according to a press release.

Fans will apparently have the opportunity to interact directly with Bieber during the show and help shape how the experience unfolds, as well as chatting with fellow Beliebers around the world. We know he gets peaches out in Georgia, but where does he get his Purpose? Now's your chance to maybe find out or something.

"By combining Wave's technology with Justin's creativity, we've created a unique, interactive experience that complements his upcoming physical tour," Wave CEO Adam Arrigo explained in a statement. "Justin is paving the way for artists to incorporate a virtual concert 'tour stop' to reach new audiences who can't attend in-person or want a different kind of live music experience."

"I am a big believer in Wave and love the platform as a new way for me to engage with my fans," Bieber added, missing an easy opportunity for wordplay. "I'm excited to be using this technology to bring people together and connect with fans from all over the world. I can't wait for them to check out this interactive performance."

But now that he's entered the metaverse, will he stay?

Watch the Biebs' avatar reveal below ahead of next week's free show in cyberspace — airing at 9 p.m. ET on November 18, followed by rebroadcasts on November 20 and 21.
