Justin Robertson

Revtone is DJ/remixer/producer Justin Robertson's first solo effort since he dropped the alias of Lionrock. On Revtone, Robertson offers a relatively diverse assortment of light-hearted but unrelenting techno pop that leans towards new wave. Paul Haig, of Scottish post-punk band Josef K, and Julinho Cameron Craig provide the vocals, which are used sparingly but give the CD a super-pop feel. Having said that, the playfully varied beats keep your interest, even though they never wander far from the CD's ultra-light techno charm.
